New Jersey Transit Installs Bus Shelters and Benches

A joint effort between Age-Friendly Leonia and the borough’s Transportation and Pedestrian Safety Committee has resulted in New Jersey Transit’s donation of two new bus shelters and two historic benches to Leonia.

Bus shelters are located on the southbound side of Broad Avenue — one in front of Leonia Middle School and the other outside of the Rec Center’s front door.

The benches are located at Broad and Crescent Avenue, one northbound and the other southbound.

An existing bench was moved from in front of the Rec Center to a location adjacent to the Senior Center.
